Benjamin Lieser is the horn professor at the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining the UCF School of Performing Arts Faculty in 2017, Dr. Lieser taught horn at Stetson University and music at both the middle and high school levels in Florida. He has performed and presented at the International Horn Symposium, the Southeast Horn Workshop, the International Double Reed Workshop, the National Association of Wind and Percussion Instructors Conference, and is currently the host of the Florida French Horn Festival.
Dr. Lieser holds the position of Principal Horn with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra (Melbourne, FL) and Second Horn with the Bach Festival Society Orchestra (Orlando, FL). In addition, he often performes with the Orlando Philharmonic, The Florida Orchestra, and for Walt Disney World Entertainment.
Dr. Lieser completed a DM in brass performance at Florida State University (’15). His previous degrees were earned at the University of Cincinnati (MM ’01) and Florida State University (BA ’99). He has studied with Michelle Stebleton, Randy Gardner, Duane Duggar, Randall Faust, and William Capps.
